White sandy beaches, clear blue water and a cocktail in your hand – every day feels like a holiday on Curaçao. But what really makes the island special are the relaxed and stylish beach clubs where you can enjoy yourself from early morning until sunset. Whether you're looking for a laid-back atmosphere, a good party, culinary surprises or the perfect place to lounge with a view of the sea, Curaçao has it all. In this article, I list my favourite beach clubs on the island.

Brass Boer Curacao

My favourite beach club on Curaçao is Brass Boer at Blue Bay (Blauwbaai). Super luxurious, small-scale and mega relaxed. Rent a sunbed or a super-deluxe cabana and you'll have the most relaxing day ever. Great food, friendly staff, beautiful water, also great for snorkelling. And the music... fantastic! You can also dine there in the evening. Unfortunately, I haven't experienced this myself yet, but it's on my wish list for my next visit. Oh, and don't forget to book in advance, otherwise you run the risk of there being no space.

Playa Beach Club

At the westernmost tip of Curaçao, near Playa Kalki, you will find the recently opened Playa Beach Club with a swimming pool and an infinity pool overlooking Playa Kalki beach. You can rent sunbeds or beautiful cabanas overlooking the beach and the sea. A staircase leads you straight to the beautiful beach, where you can also rent sunbeds and find a nice little eatery. A wonderful place!

The Lemon Beach

The Lemon Beach, a super-trendy small-scale boutique ocean club, opened in early 2025. I really love the minimalist interior, designed by Piet Boon, and the luxurious beach beds are fantastic too. Oh, and let's not forget the swimming pool, which is also great for cooling off now and then. In the evening, you can dine at the Lemon Tree, the club's restaurant, or at the trendy food bar La Munchi at the front of the building. The accompanying Art Hotel will also open soon, and it will certainly be a treat to stay there. Want to enjoy a day of luxury by the sea? This is the new place to be!

Avila Beach

Do you enjoy peace and quiet on the beach? Then you will love spending a day at the beach of the Avila Beach Hotel. Even if you are not a guest of the hotel, you can still use the beach facilities. You can reserve a spot online in advance to ensure you have a place, as there are only a limited number of spots available for non-guests.

Bonita Beachclub

Life is bonita at Bonita Beach Club A nicely decorated beach club on Mambo Beach. This is also a great place to relax. I just thought it was a shame that all the day trippers from cruise ships came here too, albeit to a separate area, but this did make it a lot busier. Behind this beach club, there are a few nice shops, so if you want to do some shopping, this is the place to be. ;-)

Cabana Beach & Mood Beach

Cabana Beach and Mood Beach are located next to each other on Mambo Beach. Mood Beach is very small and more of a chill place with a relaxed vibe. Cabana Beach has lots of sunbeds. Unfortunately, I didn't get to lie down there myself, but it looked nice and, in my opinion, it's one of the more relaxed areas on Mambo Beach.

Koko's is located in Jan Thiel Bay on Curaçao. Unlike the beach clubs next door, it is quiet and spacious, ideal if you want to avoid the crowds. From Koko's, you can also walk to Zanzibar and Zest, so if you feel like partying at the end of the day, you can.

Even if you are not a guest at the Lions Dive Hotel, you can still use the beach facilities. Lions Dive is located at the far left end of Mambo Beach and is spacious, making it a relaxed place to be. You can rent a sunbed here and enjoy a delicious meal at Hemmingways restaurant. Next to the Lions Dive Hotel is the Sea Aquarium. Have you always wanted to swim with dolphins? Here, you can.

The well-known Papagayo Hotel is located on Jan Thiel beach, and even if you are not a guest of the hotel, you can still use the beach facilities. There is a beautiful infinity pool where you can cool off, and you can rent sunbeds or more luxurious cabanas. We did the latter a few times, and we highly recommend it. If you rent a cabana, you get a cup of coffee and a bottle of water, a bowl of fresh fruit at lunchtime and a bowl of snacks at the end of the afternoon. Great place!
